<div itemprop="description">McCausland, Ernest Bennett 1933-2016 <br>A gentle man with a heart of gold. <br>Peacefully after having lived a life richly blessed by family and friends, Ernie passed away on July 19, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. <br> <br>Mourning his loss but grateful and enriched by his life was his family. Ernie was the son of the late Ethel Macky McDowell and James Alexander McCausland. He was predeceased by his sister Nella and brothers and sister-in laws William ‘Billy’ (Margaret), Rennie Robert (Stella) and Thomas (Betty). He will be dearly missed by his loving and cherished companion of nearly 40 years, Marlene Cutone. He was the loving and proud father of daughters Cindy (Mike), Colleen (Glen), and son Gary (Louise). Also devoted stepfather to Yvonne (Robert), Lisa, and Carlo (Lianne). He was the most special and loving Grandpa to Nicole, Brandon, Travis, Ashleigh, Samantha, Crystal, Josef, Stephanie, Bradley, Holly, Matthew, Blake, Cameron and Carly. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be remembered by all his friends and by those lives he has touched with his quiet strength, kindness and love. <br> <br>The family will receive friends at the Glendale Funeral Home 1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the Glendale Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 1 p.m. Interment at Glendale Memorial Gardens. <br>In memory of Ernie, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society. <br>To make an online condolence, go to www.glendalememorial.ca <br></div>
