Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday February 15, 2016 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Clara Kai. Loving father of Stan Kai and Leslie Whittaker (Glen). Devoted and cherished Geechan of Gregory Kai and Matthew and Rachel Whittaker. Predeceased by his siblings Sam, Michi (Joe), Jimmy (Mimi), Don (Margaret), Grace (Hiromu), Betty, Irene and honourary brother Samuel Nakagawa (Jeanne). Survived by sister Vi (Mush) and brother Gordon (Ruth) as well as sister-in-law Sue and brother-in-law Tommy. Bill will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Wednesday February 24th from 2-4 p.m and 6-8 p.m at Glendale Funeral Home, 1810 Albion Road, Toronto (Highway 27 and Albion Rd). A special thanks to the caring staff at Wellesley Central Place. In memory of Bill, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
